Shibori Dyed Silks

Shibori is an ancient Japanese fiber art of bound resist dyeing on fabric. Using techniques of stitching, binding, folding, clamping, and pole wrapping shibori produces one of a kind permanent patterns on cloth. Traditionally shibori was done with cotton and natural indigo dye for use in kimonos.
